So, poor Rose is stuck in an alternate Earth, lost without her Doctor, right? Well, as it turns out, this reality has its own Doctor too. This Doctor has lost everyone dear to him, and all his companions have either met sticky ends, or ended up extremely unhappy, so this Doctor - when confronted with Rose, does the only thing he thinks is right: he attempts to leave her behind on Earth.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on your outlook, the TARDIS has other ideas...

I really missed the Ninth Doctor, even though the Tenth Doctor has become my firm favourite, I still miss Eccleston's Doctor, so finding this series was a real treat. I love how independent Rose is, how much she's grown as a person is obvious, and when she meets this alt!Ninth, who's still broken because of the Time War, she wants to help him, and that leads to all sorts of fun complications.
