Fire, Dreams, and Twilight by Katreal

Half-way there! Only fifty more posts to complete the challenge, and boy is this story worth the half-way mark!
Cloud dreams of the future. He sleeps and remembers the world burn. For any ordinary person, much less a child, to dream like this would be bad enough, but Cloud is anything but ordinary. He decides to wake up Vincent and take the future into his own, very tiny, hands.
Whilst not a time-travel fic, this story is remarkably similar to one, except for the fact that it's incredibly original in its presentation. Brilliantly written, with incredible characterisations, beautifully rendered scenes and the kind of prose and dialogue I would kill for the skill to write, Katreal gifts us with an amazing story that seizes your imagination and refuses to let go.

Everything about this story is sublime. The characterisations, the relationships, the character interaction, the description of the scenes, everything is beautifully presented, and this story flows so smoothly it's easy to lose yourself in its depths and so very rewarding and enjoyable when you do.
