Butterfly Effect by Kiraya

The entire plot of this story centers around this one, simple idea: what would have happened if Cloud woke up Vincent from his sleep while he was still a child? From that premise, Kiraya creates this entire world of difference. Whilst not a time-travel story, it contains much of what I love about time-travel stories, enough similarity to canon to be enjoyed as familiar, yet divergent enough to excite my mind and keep me captivated.
The relationship between Cloud and Vincent is sweet and adorable, and the way they interact makes me smile constantly.
