Beneath a Darker Sky by Pain au Chocolat ([livejournal.com profile] radowan)
Fandom: Katekyo Hitman REBORN!
Rating: NC-17 (Adults Only)

I adore this story. It's one of those fics that makes my mind wander to it when I'm meant to be doing other stuff, like laundry or dinner or even washing my hair. It's very hard to forget, even though it's so mellow and easy to read, but I think that's just one of [livejournal.com profile] radowan's many talents. She has this way of breathing life into her words and into the characters, a talent that not all that many people share, especially when you consider the sheer depth and breadth of fanfics out there.

I love reading [livejournal.com profile] radowan's work, it seems like no matter what she writes, it comes out golden. I haven't come across so many stories so well written all together for a long time, and even then, it was by only one other author.

'Beneath a Darker Sky' might sound like it's grimmer and darker than the original KHR universe, but it really isn't. It does however feature a genderqueer!Tsuna, in all the good ways. Long hair, long nails, cross-dressing, I could go on, but that would spoil your enjoyment of this story.

Every character in this story is well fleshed out in the time they've been given - and, in fact, that remains to be my only sore point with this story - the fact that there's not more of it. --cries--

Don't believe it could be this good? Give it a try.

For some reason, one that boggles my mind, [livejournal.com profile] radowan seems to be able to write stories that pinpoint everything I love best in KHR and about Tsuna and then expanding on them, giving all my favourite characters so much more to them than I could ever have hoped for. Reading [livejournal.com profile] radowan's stories isn't just a past-time, it's an event in and of itself.

Hugs,
