Apr. 28th, 2011 09:48 pmI wonder where all my writing enthusiasm has gone.
I was going through my fodlers and I came across a fic I'd started a few years back where Naruto and Sakura swap genders and have to get used to being the opposite gender whilst still having to find Sasuke and so forth. It was really fun to write, although I never published it anywhere, and I enjoyed it so much I started an AU where the same thing happened to them, only it was set about a decade in their future.
I've got this massive folder full of ideas and partially started fics, and I remember the burn, the need, the itch to just write, anything, everything! Of opening a blank document and instead of feeling daunted, feeling incredible at the free space just waiting to be filled.
Now...not so much.
I've been getting quite a few bunnies, but no actual story ideas. You know? A small idea isn't worth much if you can't expand it into anything, and you don't feel like you can expand it. I've tried, and it hasn't worked.
I really hope this writing course helps.
