...ramble ramble ramble...
Mar. 23rd, 2011 05:19 pmWow! I'm on a roll today, huh? --snerk-- I think it's because I'm procastinating, so anything looks better.
This ramble is all Transformery. Heh.
Okay, so, I've been a Transformer-fan for a pretty long time, before I knew fanfiction and fandoms existed. I wasn't a hard-core fan, but I watched the cartoons, read comics, and when the films came out, I went and saw those too...repeatedly. --laughs--
At first I was basically a fan of Bumblebee and the twins, although it was more Sunstreaker first, and then him and Sideswipe, and then it was Mirage. I couldn't say I was a fan of Optimus for a very long time, because honestly? He intimidated the crap out of me. --snicker--
I liked Jazz, but he was too...er...uncomfortable for me. My name is Jasmine, and I used to go by Jazz, so that's what everyone called me, family, friends, everyone. After Transformers, I started spelling it with one 'z', and changed my nickname to Jaz instead, because every time I saw a note or something addressed to 'Jazz', it made me think of Transformers, and boy was that uncomfortable. Half the time I felt like I was reading someone elses' note. --giggle--
It wasn't too bad though, I mean, my brother was nicknamed 'Sherlock', and then 'Sonic' (on account of his dyed hair spikes), and so getting teased about the Jazz-Jaz connection didn't bother me, even when friend teased me about exchanging the clear glass in my glasses for blue, or getting a visor instead. --rolls eyes-- Ah, happy days. /facepalm
The Prowl fan-ness came about after discovering fanfiction. It one of those situations where you don't really see something until it's pointed out to you. --sighs-- Then I also fell in love with Ratchet and Wheeljack and Bluestreak and Soundwave and Ravage.
I also discovered 'Megatron: Origin' and fell in adore with that Megatron and Prowl and then the twins all over again. --grin--
I also found out that seekers are cool and adorable and Optimus isn't that scary after all and then I ended up reading anything and everything I could. I don't actually like all of it, but I wouldn't be able to tell if I didn't at least try...right?
I'm not good with specs, or a massive amount of Transformers information, but I've found that Transformers is one of those fandoms where, no matter how for you go, it always calls you back.
...Eventually.
Not that I'm complaining though. --laughs--
