Never eat at Sainsbury's...

As I learnt, to my utter despair.
My other half and I have had a long day, so, after doing our shopping at Sainsbury's, we decided to stop off in their restaurant/cafe and have something to eat and drink. Since it was snowing outside, and horrible and cold, I decided on their roast chicken dinner, whilst the other half decided to have their chicken and mushroom pie special.
This was a huge mistake.
My chicken was so old and dry it was like corrugated cardboard. The potatoes tasted funny and off and were like sand, whilst I couldn't actually cut the Yorkshire pudding, much less stab it with a fork and eat it - and this was despite it being soaked in gravy!
I asked for no peas and instead got a quarter plate full, and the gravy tasted like pure coloured salt.
Deciding to let the other half try it, to make sure it wasn't just me, we traded bites. The pie was just as bad.
Having had enough of the meal, I took my plate back to the counter and asked for a refund, citing the reasons why, unfortunately, as soon as I did so, I had to run to the toilet and vomit up the meal, which was even worse on the way back up! It tore my throat and made speaking almost unbearable.
I got back to find out that the woman behind the counter had given the refund back to my other half while I'd been in the toilet, so I sat down to drink my drink, but I was shaking so badly I decided I couldn't stay.
This was horrible, since I only have sweets once a fortnight, and I'd chosen coffee and walnut cake - which I now couldn't eat. So I took the untouched cake back up to the counter and asked for a refund...well, I croaked it, since I could barely talk.
I was told that since there was nothing wrong with the cake itself, I wasn't eligible for a refund, at which point I croaked out that I couldn't eat it because the previous plate of food made me vomit and tore my throat.
She said that I would have to speak to the manager if I wanted a refund, so I dug in my heels and demanded to see him immediately. 2 minutes later the woman went to the back and came back out looking grim, and promptly gave me my cake refund.
I was so looking forward to that cake!
After that I went to the help counter and swore in a complaint that I was assured would go straight to the management.
In the car park my other half keeled forward and vomited out his chicken pie, so it wasn't just me.
Now he's looking up how to contact Health and Safety about their kitchens, whilst I compose a letter to the management.
God, I'm not looking forward to this.
My stomach still hurts now, my throat is raw and sore, and I still feel ill.
