HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Well, turns out I had the flu, but it progressed into bronchitis in my throat and upper chest, which is why I couldn't breathe. Every time I went to lie down, I was literally suffocating myself. The doctor said I have to sleep upright until it clears, keep taking co-codamol, use subutamol if I suddenly can't breathe, breathe in steam, cough mixture, and lots and lots of water...otherwise, because of the flu, there's nothing that can help.

I slept through yesterday, and didn't wake up for anything other than my medication, so my poor dear other half ended up missing seeing in the New Year because he decided he'd rather be next to me, even if that meant sleeping away the night, than go round to a friends house and leave me alone.

God, I love him.

He's been such a help. He's been making sure I got my tablets during the night, helped boil the kettle and arrange a bowl of hot water - but not too hot - to help, hot drinks, sitting with me when I want to cry because it hurts to breathe...

I honestly don't know what I'd've done without him.

I've only got 1085 words written for the next chapter, and that was written a very long time ago. I don't honestly know when I'll be continuing this story. It mostly depends on whether or not I get any workable inspiration for it.

I'm glad you liked the story though.
