welcome to my delusions!

You know that 'short' fic I was writing while taking a break from my NaNo monster? I thought I could wrap it up in 10k words.

HAH!

I was wrong. Dear Lord was I wrong. I've passed the 10k mark, I'm over twenty pages in on OpenOffice (size 11 font, single spaces) and it doesn't look like it's going to finish any time in the near future.

On the bright side, Ryu and Shuuji have finally, finally kissed. It took a ridiculous 600 words to describe the entire scene. One kiss! One! I was going for a soft, you know, really gentle kind of atmosphere, which meant longer sentences which flowed with few full stops and no sudden changes...but still. 600 words for one kiss! Well, 576 to be completely accurate, but it's close enough.

I am such a glutton for punishment.
